HabitTap Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 12, 2026
This privacy policy applies to HabitTap for Android, package name com.herman.tinyhabitstracker.
Publisher: HabitTap
Privacy contact: ringtone.sky@gmail.com
Data stored on your device
HabitTap stores habit names, questions, units, colors, icons, type, goals, notes, daily habit records, reminder settings, app settings, and widget preferences locally on your device. This local data is used to provide habit tracking, reminders, widgets, statistics, export, backup, and restore.
Firebase analytics and crash diagnostics
HabitTap uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, reliability, crashes, and ANR issues. These services may collect app activity, app diagnostics, crash logs, Firebase installation or app-instance identifiers, operating system version, app version, and coarse device information.
HabitTap does not request the Android Advertising ID or Android AdServices attribution permissions. HabitTap does not log habit names, habit notes, daily record notes, reminder text, backup contents, or export file contents to Firebase.
Firebase data is processed by Google/Firebase as a service provider for analytics and crash diagnostics. Learn more from Google's privacy information for Firebase services.
Data we do not upload to a HabitTap server
HabitTap does not require an account and daily check-ins work offline. HabitTap does not operate a server that receives your habit content, records, notes, reminder data, backup contents, or export contents.
The first release does not include advertising SDKs, subscriptions, in-app purchases, or payment processing.
Exports and backups
The app creates export or backup files only when you choose to do so. Exported files can contain your habits, records, reminders, and ordinary app settings. They are controlled by you after they leave the app. If you share an export or backup file with another app, storage provider, or person, their privacy practices apply to that copy.
Notifications and widgets
If you enable reminders, the app uses Android notifications to remind you about habits. On Android 13 and above, notification permission is requested before notifications are shown. The app may reschedule local reminders after device restart. Home-screen widgets read local habit data to display progress and quick actions.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete local habit data by deleting habits and records in the app, clearing the app's storage from Android system settings, or uninstalling the app. Exported backup files are controlled by you and must be deleted from wherever you saved or shared them.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Firebase service settings and Google's applicable retention practices.
Security
HabitTap stores habit data locally on your device. Firebase data is transmitted over encrypted connections by Firebase SDKs. Exported files are controlled by you and should be stored or shared only with services and people you trust.
Children
HabitTap is not designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If future versions add cloud sync, accounts, advertising, payment processing, or other off-device data collection, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration must be updated before release.
